HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR MALA..
Let Intuition Be Your Guide
Choosing a mala is a deeply personal process—it’s less about following rules and more about listening to your heart. A mala is not just jewellery; it’s a spiritual tool, a daily companion, and a reflection of your energy and intention.
Here are a few things to consider when selecting your mala:
Intention – Start by asking yourself: What am I calling in right now? Peace, clarity, courage, love, protection? Different gemstones carry different energies. For example, rose quartz is for love, amethyst for calm, and tiger’s eye for strength.
Material – Malas are traditionally made from Rudraksha seeds, sandalwood, or crystals. Rudraksha is grounding and protective, sandalwood is calming and sacred, and gemstones offer specific healing properties.
Feel & Connection – Pay attention to how the mala makes you feel. Do you feel drawn to its colour, texture, or energy? Sometimes the right mala chooses you—trust your intuition.
Purpose – Will you use it for meditation, wear it as a reminder of your intention, or both? Some people prefer larger beads for mantra counting, while others love the feel of smaller beaded mala for daily wear.
Ultimately, your mala should feel like an extension of your spirit—something that inspires presence, grounds your energy, and brings you closer to yourself.
Some examples of crystal properties:

Regular cleansing of your Rudraksha & Gemstone Mala is recommended. Gemstones absorb negative energy well and could also transmit the negativity back if they become saturated. To remove any unwanted energy, leave your Mala in moonlight overnight, let it rest under a tree or in a potted plant, smudge it with sage or lemongrass or use other crystals such as amethyst and quartz crystal.
